Q: How can I tell how fast or slow my internet connection is?

Answer: Run a speed test. This is a free test, which takes seconds to run.

How do I run a speed test?

  1. Go to www.speedtest.net
  2. Click GO to run the speed test.
  3. Wait. It may take a few moments to run the test.
  4. Check your UPLOAD Speed.

Interpreting the Speed Test

Upload Speed is Above 5 Mbps

Congratulations!!!

You have the speed required in order to live stream to Facebook Live, YouTube Live, etc., and connect to virtual meeting rooms such as Zoom, BlueJeans, etc.

Upload Speed is At or Below 5 Mbps.

If your speed does not improve you can contact your service provider and/or find a location (such as a public library, etc) which may have high speed internet available to live stream and participate in virtual meetings.
